Day 9- Who Do You Think You Are?

A change in perspective can change everything.

The way we see ourselves is not how the world sees us. How many times have you put your clothes on, done your make-up and fixed your hair only to feel like you look like a hot mess. Um, me me me! I feel like this all the time. And then something happens as I am out and about running my errands. Someone always says something nice about my appearance. It astounds me every time.  If this is what happens when the world sees us, how much greater of a response do we get from God? In my spiritual life I sometimes feel like a hot mess. Like I am not measuring up. God looks at us and says, "Hey, you were measuring up before you ever started." We are our biggest hurdles! God has given each of us gifts and talents that we are to use for His good and we constantly tell Him we are not good enough. We have all had that friend that does that. After a while it gets annoying hearing them beat them selves up. I wonder if God gets annoyed with me? Lately I feel like God has said, "OK, I understand your hang ups. But, we don't have time right now to pat you on the back and tell you how great you are in My eyes. I just need you to suck it up and get to work for Me."

The Bible spends so much time on how God views us and how He feels about us. God's word is true! Suck it up and believe it!

Priscilla puts it so well that I am going to type it out directly.

"Sometimes we prematurely pursue the mission to which we've been called and forgo the critical groundwork of learning about and walking in our God-given spiritual identity. When life's shadows distort our reality, those distortions can easily become our truth, ripping us away from God's truth and thwarting our purpose.
The assignment for which God is calling us will go unrealized unless we are convinced of the spiritual chops He has given us to accomplish it. His perspective might sound unbelievable and even look completely incorrect based on the way we are acting or feeling. But trusting God and walking in His pronouncement of potential is the foundation of spiritual victory."

Ladies, we all need to be who God created us to be. Just do it!
